This is a small late Victorian Thomas Webb cased Burmese bowl, dating from approximately 1890. It has a polished out pontil mark on the underside of the base.
The bowl is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows some wear and tear to the base and elsewhere commensurate with 100+ years of use.
The bowl is globe-shaped and is blown in graduated yellow to green glass. The rim is inverted and crimped. The bowl measures 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) across at its widest point. The bowl is 7.5 cm (3 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches, or any other obvious signs of restoration. There is a collector’s sticker to the base.
The bowl weighs in at 185 g. (~ 6 1/2 oz.).
