This is a Schneider Verçais enamelled glass vase dating from the beginning of the 20th century, c1930. It is signed “Verçais”.
The vase is in excellent condition. It shows some age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with 90 years of use.
The vase is blown in clear glass, has an extended baluster shape and measures 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The vase flares out into a foot which is 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) across. The vase is 20.2 cm (8.1 inches) in height. It is decorated in a hand-painted Winter landscape scene in white and blue enamels. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is a bubble in the metal of the vase which has burst on the inside of the vase about 2 cm under the rim on the other side from the painted scene, and a couple of other tiny bubbles.
It weighs in at 314 g. (~ 11 oz.).
