This is a heavy late Victorian cut-glass celery vase dating from the late 19th century.

The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot consistent with some 100+ years of use.

The vase has a campana-shaped bowl measuring 15.5 cm (6.2 inches) in diameter at the dentated rim. The bowl is cut with a band of large ovals above cut vertical panels, each of which contains a central olive between two chevrons, all above a basal band of panel cutting. The bowl sits on a vertically facet cut hourglass stem and a shallow, conical, star-cut foot that measures 11.8 cm (4.7 inches) in diameter. The vase is an impressive 27 cm (10.8 inches) in height.

It weighs 1.31 kg. ( ~ 2 lb. 14 oz.). There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
