This is a near pair of mouth-blown Stevens & Williams threaded bowls blown in the late 19th century, c1880.
The bowls are in excellent condition. They show age related wear and tear consistent with age and use. They have polished out pontil marks to the underside of the bases.
The bowls are pleated cups in shape and measure 12.5 cm (5 inches) in diameter at the upper rims. They are 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) in height. The edges of the bowls are deeply pleated and the exteriors of the bowls are threaded. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other evidence of restoration. Each bowl weighs 160 g. (~ 5 1/2 oz.).
