This is a Georgian, English, panel-moulded, pedestal stem sweetmeat or champagne glass dating from the second half of the 18th century, c1770.

The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.

The glass has a panel-moulded double ogee-shaped bowl measuring 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl sits on a merise and an eight-sided pedestal stem which ends in a basal collar. The stem leads to a panel-moulded domed foot which measures 9.3 cm (3.3 inches) in diameter. The glass is 15.2 cm (6.1 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.

English lead glass weighing in at 305 g. (~ 11 oz.).
