This is a Holmegaard of Denmark mouth-blown Minuet glass vase, designed by Per Lūtken (1916-1998) and dating from 1959.
The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 70 years of use.
The vase is blown in ‘Akva’ (aqua) glass and is approximately heart-shaped. It measures 11 cm (4.4 inches) across at its widest point. It ends in a base which is plain and on which are etched the letters “Holmegaard”. The vase is 8 cm (3.2 inches) in height. There are some flea bite sized chips out of the edge of the base as can be seen in the relevant image. There are no other chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other obvious evidence of restoration.
It weighs in at 470 g. (~ 1 lb.).
