This is a bullicante (controlled bubble) pin dish designed by Archimede Seguso in Murano, Italy. It is signed by the designer. Sig. Seguso invented the bullicante technique in the 1930s and it was taken up by many other manufacturers including Whitefriars in the UK.

The dish is in excellent condition. It is in the green colourway and is in the form of a round with an upturned rim. The dish is 2.5 cm (1 inch) in height and measures 15 cm (6 inches) in diameter at the upper rim. It weighs 360 g. (~ 13 oz.). There is an etched “Archimede Seguso Murano” signature to the underside of the dish. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is a small dark inclusion in the metal of the dish dating from manufacture.
