This is a stunning Murano sommerso glass bowl, designed by Antonio da Ros for Cenedese, the design dating from the 1970s.

The bowl is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with years of use.

The bowl is blown in ruby glass, cased in white opaline glass and then clear glass. It measures 16.5 cm (6.6 inches) in diameter at its widest point. It ends in a base which is plain. The bowl is 6.2 cm (2.5 inches) in height. It retains its original label reading “MURANO Cenedese VETRI”. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other obvious evidence of restoration.

It weighs in at 1.62 kg. (~ 3 lb. 9 oz.).
