Out of stock

This is an Art Nouveau enamelled liqueur or cordial glass dating from the turn of the 19th/20th centuries, c1900, and attributed to the Fritz Heckert glasshouse in Petersdorf, Germany.

The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot consistent with some 120 years of use.

The glass has an ovoid-shaped bowl measuring 3.4 cm (1.4 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl is finely enamelled in amber to resemble a tulip type flower with finely gilded edges. The bowl leads to a thin plain stem changing from green to clear as it descends, imitating a flower stem, and a small conical foot which measures 4.3 cm (1.7 inches) in diameter. The top of the foot has a gilded circle. The glass is 16 cm (6.4 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious signs of restoration.

The glass weighs in at just 40 g. ( ~ 1 1/2 oz.).
