This is a Gillies Jones blue glass bowl blown by Stephen Gilles and Kate Jones in their workshop at Rosedale Abbey in North Yorkshire in 1997.

The bowl is in excellent condition. It shows some age related wear and tear to the base consistent with some minimal use.

The bowl is of cup form and was blown in blue glass on a back glass foot. It measures 19.7 cm (7.8 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The bowl is 12.7 cm (5.1 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It carries a signature to the bottom of the foot that reads “Gillies Jones ROSEDALE” and it comes complete with a Gillies Jones compliment slip. It does NOT comes in its original box.

It weighs in at 655 g. (~ 1 lb. 7 oz.).
