This is a studio glass vase, designed and blown by Jane Charles in her Newcastle-upon-Tyne workshop.
The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some use.
The vase is mouth-blown in clear glass stained in amber and frosted to the greater part. It has two applied rigaree “wings” and an applied band of darker amber with vertical squiggles. The vase is roughly a flattened funnel in shape. It measures 13 cm (5.2 inches) in width at its widest point and is 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) in depth. The vase is 19.5 cm (7.8 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It does NOT come in its original box.
It weighs in at 760 g. (~ 1 lb. 11 oz.).
