This is a small Kosta Boda of Sweden vase, “Mirage”, designed by Göran Wärff, model 7040702, the design dating from the early 21st century, c2007. These vases were made with an angled pipe to create the curved shape. This glass vase features the blue/greencombination.
The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some use.
The vase is mouth-blown in clear glass enhanced with blue and green with an obliquely ground top. It measures 12 cm (4.8 inches) in width at its widest point. It ends in a base on which are etched the words “7040702 Kosta Boda G Warff”. The vase is 15.5 cm (6.2 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It does NOT come in its original box. It retains its original plastic label which carries the legend “Kosta Boda since 1742”.
It weighs in at 1.51 kg. (~ 3 lb. 5 oz.).
