This is a post-war Lalique Roxanne decanter dating from the end of the 20th century.
The decanter is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows some age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with use.
The decanter has been blown in clear glass and is mallet-shaped. The base measures 11 cm (4.4 inches) across. The decanter measures 26.5 cm (10.6 inches) in height without the stopper, and 32 cm (12.8 inches) tall with the stopper inserted. The stopper is moulded with two frosted glass nymph-like female figures embracing a tree trunk and is almost certainly the original. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. The decanter bears the lower case script “Lalique ® France” etched onto the underside of the base.
It weighs in at 790 g. (~ 1 lb. 12 oz.).
