This is a late Georgian/William IV, cut-glass oval dish dating from the beginning of the 19th century, c1835.

The dish is in excellent condition for its age. This means of course that it shows age related wear and tear to the base consistent with some 200 years of use.

The dish is of ovoid form in the clear colourway, and measures 26.5 cm (10.6 inches) in length by 18.5 cm (7.4 inches) in width at the rim. The dish is decorated with a notch-cut rim, that sits above a band of large diamonds. The dish sits on a star-cut base. The dish is 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.

It is made from good grey period metal and weighs 1060 g. (~ 2 lb. 5 oz.).
