This is a pair of Waterford Crystal hock wine glasses in the Clarendon Ruby pattern produced between 1997-2008 but now discontinued.
The glasses are in excellent condition for their age. They show age related wear and tear to the rims of the feet consistent with some years of use.
The glasses have cup-shaped bowls measuring 6.7 cm (2.7 inches) in diameter at the inner rims. The bowls are cut in the Clarendon pattern and stained in red to the upper halves. The bowls sit on six-sided vertically facet cut stems that lead to star-cut conical feet which measure 7.4 cm (3 inches) in diameter. The glasses are 20 cm. (8 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious signs of restoration. They are marked with the word “Waterford” within a seahorse sign to the bottom edge of the feet.
Lead crystal, each weighing in at 290 g. ( ~ 10 oz.). Each glass holds 225 ml., approximately one quarter of a bottle of wine.
