Out of stock

This is an English, late Georgian, gadrooned jelly glass dating from the start of the 19th century, c1820.

The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 200 years of use. It has a polished out pontil mark on the under side of the foot.

The glass has a bell-shaped bowl measuring 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) in diameter at the rim. The otherwise plain bowl is heavily gadrooned to the base and sits on a short capstan stem and a conical foot which measures 5.3 cm (2.1 inches) in diameter. The glass is 10.6 cm (4.2 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.

Lead glass weighing in at 175 g. ( ~ 6 oz.).
