This is a post-war Lalique Bagatelle vase, dating from the late 20th century. This is a current model which retails at £890 on the UK Lalique web site, but was first designed as far back as 1939.
The vase is in excellent condition and has stood on the same window sill, unmoved since purchase. It shows some small age related wear and tear to the base consistent with use.
The vase is made in lead crystal glass, is ovoid in shape and is decorated with small birds surrounded by foliage in satin glass. It measures 11 cm (4.4 inches) in diameter at the rim and is 16.5 cm (6.6 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The vase bears a lower case “Lalique ® France” inscribed to the underside of the base.
It weighs in at 2.46 kg. (~ 5 lb. 7 oz.).
