This is a small Georgian, barrel bowl dram or gin glass dating from the second half of the 18th century, c1770.

The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.

The bowl is barrel-shaped and measures 5.2 cm (2.1 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl is plain and sits on a short, thin plain stem with a medial annular knop and a conical, folded foot that measures 6 cm. (2.4 inches) in diameter. The glass is 10.5 cm (4.2 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.

Lead glass, it weighs 90 g. (~ 3 oz.).
