This is a Georgian English single series air twist wine glass dating from the mid 18th century, c1750.

The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot and the rim of the bowl consistent with some 250 years of use. There is a rough pontil mark on the bottom of the foot.

The glass has an ogee-shaped bowl measuring 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl is plain save for some light flute-moulding to the base and sits on a single series air twist stem consisting of six spiral air cords. The stem leads to a conical, folded foot that measures 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter. The glass is 16.3 cm (6.5 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is an unburst bubble and a tiny white inclusion in the fold of the foot dating from manufacture.

Lead glass. It weighs in at 143 g. (~ 5 oz.).
