Georgian-style pair of engraved ovoid bowl rummers, lemon squeezer feet

SORRY SOLD

Out of stock

This is a pair of Georgian-style engraved ovoid bowl rummers with lemon squeezer bases dating from some time in the 20th century. They are excellent reproductions of early 19th century rummers and would make excellent film/TV props for period dramas of the late Georgian/Regency period. The metal is too bright for Georgian period pieces and the bowl rims are not finished off in the Georgian way.

The glasses are in excellent condition for their age. They show some age related wear and tear consistent with use.

The glasses measure 9.3 cm (3.7 inches) in diameter across the bowl rims. The bowls are engraved with formal borders and sit on capstan stems and square lemon squeezer feet which measure 6 cm (2.4 inches) across. The glasses are 13.2 cm (5.3 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, or any evidence of restoration.

Lead crystal glass, each one weighs 260 g. (~ 9 oz.).
