Lalique Dampierre vase

Out of stock

This is a post-war Lalique Dampierre vase, dating from the late 20th century. This is a current model which retails at £720 on the UK Lalique web site, but was designed by Marc Lalique as far back as 1948.

The vase is in excellent condition and has stood on the same window sill, unmoved since purchase. It shows some small age related wear and tear to the base consistent with use.

The vase is made in lead crystal glass, is campana shaped and is decorated with a horizontal band of small sparrow-like birds in satin glass separated by vertical bands of foliage. It measures 11.6 cm (4.6 inches) in diameter at the rim and is 12.3 cm (4.9 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. The vase bears a lower case “Lalique ® France” inscribed to the underside of the clear glass foot.

It weighs in at 1.14 kg. (~ 2 lb. 8 oz.).
