This is a set of five Waterford Crystal fluted champagne glasses in the Ashling pattern produced between 1968-2017 but now discontinued.
The glasses are in excellent condition for their age. They show age related wear and tear to the rims of the feet consistent with some years of use.
The glasses have extended funnel-shaped bowls measuring 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) in diameter at the rims. The bowls are cut in the Ashling pattern with fan cutting above a basal row of olives. The bowls sit on six-sided vertically facet cut stems that lead to star-cut conical feet which measure 6.8 cm (2.7 inches) in diameter. The glasses are 18.5 cm. (7.3 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious signs of restoration. They are marked with the “Waterford” sign to the bottom edge of the feet.
Lead crystal, each weighing in at 280 g. ( ~ 10 oz.). Each glass holds 125 ml., approximately one sixth of a bottle of wine.
