This is an Edinburgh Crystal Thistle pattern white wine glass, originally designed in 1896 and made up until 2006, but now discontinued.
The glass is in excellent condition. It shows some age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and rim of the foot consistent with use.
The glass measures 7.8 cm (3.2 inches) in diameter across the bowl rim. The glass is 13.4 cm (5.4 inches) in height. The bowl is etched in the Thistle pattern above a hobnail diamond cut bottom half. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. The glass weighs 255 g. (~ 9 oz.). It holds approximately 125 ml of wine (about one sixth of a bottle). The glass does not appear to carry an etched signature and trademark to the underside of the foot. Definitely Edinburgh Crystal however. It does not come in its original box.
