This is a set of four Baccarat Palerme pattern wine or water goblets made in France and dating from the 1950s.
The glasses are in excellent condition for their age. They show age related wear and tear to the rims of the feet consistent with some 60 years of use.
The glasses have ovoid-shaped bowls measuring 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) in diameter at the rims. The bowls are cut with rows of scales and hexagons in the Palerme pattern. The bowls sit on six-sided facet cut stems and shallow, conical feet which measure 7.8 cm (3.1 inches) in diameter. The glasses are 18.3 cm. (7.7 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious signs of restoration. The Baccarat logo is etched onto the base of each glass.
Hand made lead crystal, each glass varies in weight and has very slightly different dimensions, the weight of each glass ranging from 205-350 g., averaging ( ~ 10 oz.) each.
