This is an early Victorian heavy barrel bowl rummer glass, dating from around 1850.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot consistent with some 150+ years of use. It has a polished out pontil mark on the bottom of the foot.
The glass has a barrel-shaped bowl measuring 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl is plain and sits on a capstan stem with a medial angular knop that leads to a conical foot which measures 8.2 cm (3.3 inches) in diameter. The glass is 15.3 cm (6.1 inches) in height. There are some small light abrasions just below the bowl rim. There are no chips, cracks, other significant scratches or any obvious signs of restoration.
Lead glass weighing in at 480 g. ( ~ 1 lb. 1 oz.).
