This is a pair of Victorian cut glass ovoid bowl wine goblets dating from the middle of the 19th century, c1860.

The glasses are in excellent condition. They show age related wear and tear consistent with some 160 years of use. They have a T-shaped gadget marks on the bottom of the feet which dates them pretty accurately to the aforementioned date.

The glasses measure 7.4 cm (3 inches) in diameter across the bowl rims and are 14.5 cm (5.8 inches) in height. The bowls are rounded bucket-shaped and are cut with a medial band of finger flutes The bowls sit on collars and balustroid stems. The stems lead to conical feet which also measure 7.4 cm (3 inches) in diameter. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.

Each glass weighs in at 220 g. (~ 8 oz.).
