Welz yellow and white enamelled spatter vase

This is a small Bohemian yellow and white glass spatter vase enamelled with flowers in blue and yellow, attributed to Welz and dating from the beginning of the 20th century, c1910. It is unsigned.

The vase is in excellent condition. It shows some age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with 100 years of use.

The vase is blown in yellow & white glass, cased in clear glass, and has a neck which is square in cross-section and measures 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) in diameter at the rim. The vase flares out into a four sided reservoir which is 6.8 cm (2.7 inches) across at its widest point. The vase is 12 cm (4.8 inches) in height. It is decorated in a hand-painted floral scene in blue/yellow enamels, the yellow picked out by gilding. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.

It weighs in at 150 g. (~ 5 1/4 oz.).
