This is a small orange-coloured vase hand-enamelled with a Winter landscape scene, in the style of Daum and Legras and dating from the end of the 19th century, c1900. It is unsigned.
The vase is in excellent condition. It shows some age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with 100 years of use.
The vase is urn-shaped and blown in orange glass, with a short neck which flares out into a tapering reservoir that measures 5.3 cm (2.1 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The vase is 10.7 cm (4.3 inches) in height. It is decorated in a hand-painted Winter landscape scene in black and white enamels. The rim is black. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
It weighs in at 76 g. (~ 2 3/4 oz.).
