This is a Hermanova Hut of Czechia Candle Wax vase (model no. 20245/230) in clear glass designed by Frantisek Peceny and dating from the mid 1970s. An example in green glass can be seen in Mark Hill’s book, Hi Sklo Low Sklo on page 93.
The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with use.
The vase is cylindrical in shape with a rim measuring 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) in diameter. The vase is in clear glass and is 23 cm (9.2 inches) in height. They made these vases in two sizes and this is the taller size. The vase is moulded with external decoration that is similar to that created by dripping candles. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
It weighs in at 1.245 kg. (~ 2 lb. 12 oz.).
