This is a small Kosta Boda of Sweden mouth-blown Galaxy bowl, designed by Bertil Vallien, the design dating from 1982.
The bowl is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the base consistent with some 40 years of use.
The bowl is blown in clear glass cased with blue and white highlights. It measures 11 cm (4.4 inches) in diameter at the bowl rim and is 8 cm (3.2 inches) in height. On the underside of the small, clear glass foot are etched the words “Boda Artist Coll. B Vallien 58014”. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
