This is a 20th century lampwork glass sculpture of a deer, designed and made by Istvan Komaromy and manufactured in the UK, probably in the 1950s. His earlier work typically used wooden bases with marble bases being used in the latter part of his career.

The sculpture is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows some age related wear and tear commensurate with use.

The sculpture is of an opaline glass stylised deer on a small spherical black glass ball supported by a black wooden base. The sculpture measures 10 cm (4 inches) in width at its widest point and is 21 cm (8.4 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. The baize on the base is significantly worn and eroded and could easily be replaced.

It weighs in at 135 g. (~ 5 oz.).
