This is a small limited edition studio glass Ode to Autumn vase or ginger jar designed by Sarah Cowan for Okra Studio Glass.
The jar is in excellent condition. It shows some age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with use.
The jar is of shouldered ovoid form in a red over clear colourway with applied stylised leaves and ribbands in blue and black. The jar measures 9 cm (3.6 inches) in diameter at its widest point and is 9 cm (3.6 inches) in height. The vase ends in a clear glass base which carries the legend “BW1 Okra SEC No. 58/100” inscribed around a polished out pontil mark. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It would have originally have had a cap but this is missing.
It weighs in at 305 g. (~ 11 oz.).
