This is a scarce Iittala of Finland model 3535 vase, designed by Tapio Wirkkala, the design dating from the 1950s.

The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 60 years of use.

The vase is blown in clear glass and is conical in shape. It has been incised with off-vertical lines from base to rim. It measures 12.8 cm (5.1 inches) in diameter at its widest point. It ends in a base which is plain on which are etched the letters “Tapio Wirkkala 3535”. The vase is 17.5 cm (7 inches) in height. There are a few flea bite sized chips out of the edge of the base. There are no other chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.

It weighs in at 1.8 kg. (~ 4 lb.).
