This is an October series glass vase designed by Kjell Engman for Kosta Boda of Sweden and dating from the 1980s.
The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with use.
The vase is broadly oval in cross-section and a flattened cylinder in shape. The vase was blown in white opaline glass and has been decorated with an autumnal scene of vegetation, leafless trees and birds in flight. It is 14.5 cm (5.8 inches) in height ad 10 cm (4 inches) across at its widest point. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It retains its original label which bears the legend “Kosta Boda since 1742”.
It weighs in at 445 g. (~ 1 lb.).
