This is a Georgian, panel-cut jelly glass dating from the early 19th century, c1820.
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot consistent with some 200 years of use. It has a polished out pontil mark on the bottom of the foot.
The glass has a bell-shaped bowl measuring 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) in diameter at the everted rim. The bowl is vertically panel-cut to the lower portion and sits directly on a plain conical foot which measures 5.7 cm (2.3 inches) in diameter. The glass is 10.8 cm (4.3 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is a collector’s sticker to the bottom of the foot.
English lead glass weighing in at 165 g. (~ 6 oz.).
