This is a Georgian, mouth-blown, wrythen panel-moulded glass sugar bowl with an applied blue glass rim dating from the turn of the 18th/19th centuries, c1800.

The bowl is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 220 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the base which has a black deposit showing an iron pontil was used.

The bowl is of cup form in the clear colourway and measures 10.3 cm (4.1 inches) in diameter at the rim which has a band of applied blue glass. The bowl is wrythen panel-moulded and sits on a small pedestal foot that measures 7 cm. (2.8 inches) in diameter. The bowl is 7.2 cm (2.9 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.

Lead glass. It weighs 200 g. (~ 7 oz.).
