Ingeborg Lundin for Orrefors small amethyst Beak vase

SORRY SOLD

Out of stock

This is a small, mouth-blown, amethyst-coloured, cased glass Beak vase, designed by Ingeborg Lundin for Orrefors of Sweden and dating from the 1950s.

The vase is in excellent condition. This means, of course, that it shows some wear and tear to the base and elsewhere commensurate with use.

The vase is of teardrop shape, with a pronounced beak-like pouring spout and is blown in amethyst covered in clear glass. It measures 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter at its widest point and is 9.5 cm (3.8 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches, or any obvious signs of restoration. The letters “of” (for Orrefors) are incised into the base.

It weighs 140 g. (~ 5 oz.).
