This is a contemporary Siddy Langley polychrome studio glass demonstration bowl, designed by Siddy in her Devon studio, the piece dating from 2020.
The bowl is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the base consistent with some minimal use.
The bowl is cup-shaped with a slightly everted rim and is blown in clear glass decorated with swirls of blue, white, yellow and red glass swirls. It measures 15.8 cm (6.3 inches) in diameter at its widest point. It ends in a base which is plain and polished, and around which are etched the words “Siddy Langley demo 2020”. The bowl is 7.5 cm (3 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
It weighs in at 760 g. (~ 1 lb. 11 oz.).
